Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar is known as a casual dining restaurant and sports bar franchise. Operates in both the United States and Canada. Founded in 1982 by James Disbrow. Originally called Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck. The third W stood for a beef weck sandwich has a distinctive taste due to it using a kummelweck roll. Corporate headquarters were initially in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota. In examining the competition for Buffalo Wild Wings, it can be said that Buffalo Wild Wings has many major competitors in the realm of chicken wings and could do well with some profitability scaling. That is a relative statement, however, given the focus of Buffalo Wild Wings is primarily chicken wings. There are many restaurants (even Sonic) that carry similar product such as Applebee's, Chili's, and TGI Friday's.
