Time management is a skill neglected by many college freshmen, yet is one of the most important skills they can learn. Has a number of benefits, both academic and social. Crucial skill to graduating for most students.
Time management is defined as the ability to develop and maintain a personal, flexible schedule (Managing Your Time, 2014). Time management also entails the responsibility necessary to adhere to this schedule on a regular basis. Time management is a tool utilized primarily by those who have a large number of responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, requiring precise micro-management of time. Treats time as a precious resource that must be “spent” on specific tasks or activities.
