The person I am most compared to is my mother. Everyone, from family members to friends to even strangers, says that I am a carbon copy, younger version of her. We share the same facial features: a small round face; high cheekbones that case our almond-shaped brown eyes that slant slightly when we smile; smooth russet-toned skin; pillowy full lips; naturally-arched full eyebrows and long eyelashes; a shapely body; dark brown hair shaped into a bob that rests at slight past our chins. We also have a similar tone in voice and are often mistaken for one another when one of us answers a phone call. However, if you look closely you will notice some features are slightly different. My nose and eyes are slightly smaller and our similar body shapes are differentiated by my slightly taller and leaner stature; I stand an inch or two taller. My mother is top-heavier and curvier at the bottom, and I have more muscle tone in my arms, legs, and back which makes me appear to be more athletic.
Our biggest difference is in our personality traits. My mother is a bit less opinionated than me. She is not as outgoing and can be rather shy around large groups of people. We share the same silly sense of humor though I am more likely to express it more than her. She is a creature of habit and typically does not like to try new foods or experience anything out of her comfort zone, while I will try anything at least once. We both have a small network of friends, but I have a more active social life. My mother’s main source of entertainment is watching TV; I prefer, instead, to read a good book, as evidenced by the fact that I do not even own a television. My mother is more creative when it comes to fashion and interior design, while I am a minimalist in the fashion sense. I am the bigger sports fan and can watch (and understand) nearly every sport under the sun, though we do share a strong interest in tennis, and often watch the bigger tournaments together.
