My second half began when I decided to attain my master’s in business administration. With a major in finance, a particular subject I enjoy, I am poised to stand out and deliver the best of myself to those willing to give me an opportunity. My personal motivations, professional dreams, and extraordinary skill set separate me from the crowd of others that clamor for similar chances. As an individual who believes it is never too late to pursue one’s goals, I would like to express my sincere desire to be granted and get the most from an internship with the Hungarian Association of Colleges & Universities.
I am the first generation of my family to be born in the United States. Every successful moment I have I owe to my grandmother, who bravely chose to emigrate here from Europe with a young boy who would become my father. I originally attained a B.S. in Mass Media Communications but through a combination of my love of finance, the hope to manage the economic well-being of my family, and to prevent them or others from being taken advantage of monetarily, I decided to go back to school and work towards an MBA, majoring in finance. As someone who craves to experience the world outside of my comfort zone of Ohio, an internship with the HACU would give me the ability to work with people of different walks of life, ideas, experiences and countries. Many people know that trying to break into the world of finance is not a simple task, but the internship with HACU would be prestigious. I have thoroughly researched the HACU program, discovering that it was the best for me because it offers all the rich work experience vital to an individual of a diverse background who is eager to apply their theoretical knowledge such as myself.
While being the economic rock of my family is both a personal motivation and long-term professional goal, I do have quite a list that would classify beneath the latter category. I am deeply interested in working with financial statements on a daily basis. If my work day consisted of company valuations, financial markets, and the management of financial assets I would feel challenge and sated by my career path and position. With this internship I would be able to crystallize my career goals to focus more specifically by incorporating real life experience. Working as a financial analyst and or managing company financial assets seem satisfactory at the moment but I refuse to limit my ability or potential. As long as I work with numbers I will have a satisfactory career and will enjoy being called upon to help with analytical challenges.
My specific abilities would be an asset to your organization. I am fully bilingual and have an active analytical mind. I seek out problems to resolve and relish a complex challenge. I can effectively communicate through the written word and might as well have designed Microsoft Excel given my level of mastery. With a unique background in mass media communications I can supply insight to areas in which many applying for this internship would lack versatility. The quality that most defines me is my drive, my hunger to do. I want to apply what I have spent so much time learning and feel a sense of accomplishment for the hard work I have put into my academic career.
An internship with the Hungarian Association of Colleges & Universities would benefit not just me but the organization itself, if I am chosen for the position. It would be the first step I can look back on and view as the most important in my climb to success.
