Join the American Nurses Association

The American Nurses Association functions to unite nurses across the country in what is ultimately a partnership of medical professionals. Our vision is to uphold the standards and code of ethics that set the medical profession apart from any other.

The ANA is the only group to have set national standards for patient care that have been instrumental in changing how health care is handled across the country. Members have proven their dedication to extending themselves into the profession and engaging in a continual commitment to all that being a BSN prepared registered nurse entails. As a member of ANA, you will contribute your voice to a growing population of medical professionals and gain access to the tools needed to extend your own knowledge of health care topics.

Membership will grant access to exclusive journals and publications as well as a wide range of learning materials for professionals. As a member of ANA, you will receive options for discounts on products and services required of your profession. From a survey of NPs who attended the 2013 annual meeting of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners 97% said they would recommend becoming an NP to their children or other young people. The next APA meeting will take place in Phoenix, AZ in February 2014 and will contain a host of panels and information sessions pertinent to nursing professional development. There is no better time to join the ANA than now, as the debate around health care in the United States continues and there arises a shortage in primary care physicians.
