Chinese Exceptionalism

China is different from other Great Powers and therefore is in a position to promote differences within the global order. This difference is promoted within the economic discourse and is held up as an example of why China has been able to expand within the international market so freely. This difference comes from the Chinese method of government as state-led capitalism. Government goals are to promote growth through globalization while maintaining political stability.
